Glaucoma is caused mainly by abnormally high pressure inside the eye, or intraocular pressure. It is the second leading cause of blindness today. Strong lighting and prescription eyeglasses can help alleviate symptoms of cataracts, and luckily, cataract surgery can fix cataracts and remove the clouded lens, replacing it with a new lens.
