Houston Vision Care

Are you looking for an excellent vision care practice where you and members of your family will be able to receive comprehensive eye exams? If this is the case, you will want to make an appointment to come see one of our fine optometrists at our practice, West U Vision. We are very pleased to have two expert therapeutic optometrists on staff who are not only able to provide you and your family with comprehensive eye exams but they are also able to treat many different eye problems as they arise. When you need the very best Houston vision care we hope you will make an appointment to see us at our vision practice.

At our eye care practice we have two expert and highly experienced therapeutic optometrists on staff. They are Dr. Christine Castillo and Dr. MH Rockoff. Conjunctivitis is a common eye infection that is highly contagious. If your child’s eyes become red and possibly crusty you will want to bring him or her in to see our optometrist for treatment. If you are due for a comprehensive eye exam, it is very important that you have this performed in order to make sure that your eyes do not have any eye diseases or disorders. Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma, do not show any symptoms in the early stages. However, this does not mean that glaucoma is not currently doing damage to your eyes; it can even be permanently damaging your eyes without your even knowing it. This is but one reason why it is very important to come to us for periodic Houston vision care in the form of comprehensive eye exams.

Our eye exams are very thorough. During the first part of our eye exam your eyes will be thoroughly checked for any kinds of refractive error is including nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. If it is determined that you have a refractive vision problem our optometrist will be able to write a lens prescription for you which will have you seeing clearly once again. You will then receive medicated drops in your eyes which will cause your eyes to dilate so that the interior of your eye can be examined, including the retina, macula and blood vessels surrounding the retina. During our eye exam your eyes will be screened for a wide variety of vision problems including: glaucoma; cataracts; macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; retinal tears; and of the problems of the cornea, macula and retina.
